Pekomik July UpdateMeeting with Malaysia Institute of Itegrasi ( 7 Aug 2007)Collaboration to promote integrasi ( like budi bahasa campaign)..to do a character that carry out good stuffs as a role model. The name of character is ‘Mat Integrasi’.

This campaign is a method to prevent juvanal cases, gangsterism, crimlas..bribe etc. by doing a comic book character call mat Integrasi.

All members and committee are welcome to propose a character and story on Mat Integriti. Target market: Primary school students. Please email to me the submission.With this comic, we are hoping a long term collaboration with IIM and kekkwa ( coz they are the one with the fund).With this project it will be an income for PeKOMIK and the person who involved with this project will get elaun..don’t worry.

28 Ogos: wakil pekomik: Zamri & Adi, aktiviti melukis dan melukis kartun.

29 Ogos: looking for peKOMIK members/comitee to participate and plan and event. Prefer a digital painting/colouring demo.Wakil PekOMIK: Azhar talk on local comic scene & PeKOMIK. Still looking for volunteers.3. Bengkel Melukis. 5 Ogos 2007, Sunday. Perlukan 3 org untuk buat bengkel ini.

Possibility doing a BIF Comic Jam on Big Canvas. Meaning all members straight on draw on big canvas simultaneously or taking turn on 5’ long or more canvas. Subject is on Merdeka.

5.MSC Digital Comic Pitch will be held at CyberView Lodge Resort, Cyberjaya on 8^th August 2007. ( Subject to changed). Since its on weekdays, I would love if members can send an email of opinion & suggestion to do all Comic events organized by MSC to do it on weekend & make the venue more accessible like MidValley etc. And also try to suggest extension letter for more time on MSC Comic Pitch. On this event, PeKOMIK will set a booth & activities ( depends on how many members able to participate).

6. Members Card.

Zamri has already come up with rough design and particulars for the card.

Discount with Rhythm books. ( still looking for publisher who interested to distribute with us).

Their portfolio will be in our Database for Malaysia PeKOMIK Guide. They get discount / priority on PeKOMIK events.

7. PeKOMIK Brochure. Need to finalise by end of this month. So we can distribute it through out our events (as mention above). Attention to Graphic Dept: Salim, 39 & Gemuruh. Members interested to be on this wing please inform me. I will email the softcopy draft,

8. Meeting on PeKOMIK.com. meeting on maintaining and put more content on our website. We will set a meeting on this subject. Attention: Emio & Mysticmind, Wan Zu. For members who are interested in this department please inform me to attend on this meeting. (Area to cover: forum,online portfolio, pdf newsletter dwlnd, online registration)

9. meeting on PeKOMIK newsletter/bulletin. A meeting on this department should be commencing soon. All members are welcome to contribute. Attention to editorial dept. En Yamin Daud & Zafran (PAnaharjuna).

10. members fee. Collection should be started for the committees. We need it for our brochure printing and PeKOMIK poster/banner (1.5x 1.5m).

11. need to collect softcopy of members resume,portfolio & CV. Archive & Database dept please start to chase members for softcopy portfolio ( Nurie & Mansur Ibrahim). Members all so are welcome to joint this department.
